The Future Education Award will be presented for the first time at the Future Education Conference in fall 2024. This prize is intended to recognize and reward outstanding transdisciplinary research achievements in the fields of education, learning, development and teaching. In accordance with the Future Education program, max. one award per research cluster will be presented. The award is endowed with EUR 1,000. In addition, a special feature on the Future Education website on the award winners and their work will be published.
1st FUTURE EDUCATION Award was presented
The first Future Education Award was presented on 4 September 2024 as part of the Future Education Conference 2024. The award went to Salome Flegr and Stefan Huber for their outstanding research achievements. Congratulations to them!
Eligibility Criteria:
- Research in the fields of education, learning, development and teaching.
- Research papers or theses.
- Publication date: The research must have been published or publicly presented in 2023 or 2024.
- Participation in the Future Education Conference (preferably with active contribution).
Evaluation Criteria:
- Transdisciplinary approach: Research should integrate methods, theories and frameworks from two or more disciplines.
- Innovation and originality: Submissions must present novel ideas, methods or results that advance research related to education.
- Research excellence: Rigorous methodological execution.
Submission Guidelines
The application must include:
- Information on which FUTURE EDUCATION research cluster award you are applying for.
- Abstract: Provide an abstract (max. 500 words) summarizing the research, key findings and its transdisciplinary approach and innovation/originality.
- The corresponding research paper or thesis.
- The applicant's CV including contact details. Please submit your application by e-mail to future.education(at)uni-graz.at.
