Guidelines for all presenters - FEC 2026

Instructions for research lectures

Research Lectures that are part of the research lectures sessions take 20 minutes, followed by 10 minutes of discussion. Please respect these time limits to ensure that the conference schedule can be followed. Each session of research lectures consists of three research presentations and is scheduled for 90 minutes.

Room attendance

Besides the chairperson, there will be a local guide present in each conference room throughout the session. Easy to spot because of their white University of Graz-T-Shirt, they’re prepared to answer any practical or technical question you may have. They’ll assist with uploading the presentations, help with minor technical issues and assist the chairperson during the question-and-answer session by handing the microphone.

Technical set-up

  • We kindly ask all presenters to arrive 15 minutes in advance.

  • The organising team will set up the screen, projector and computer before the session starts.

  • An overview of the programme will be available in each room.

Presenters

  • Please consider the conference programme to know the location and time of your presentation.

  • Please prepare your presentations by using PowerPoint.

  • Ideally, the PowerPoint presentation should have a 16:9 landscape format since our projectors display this format best.

  • Please bring your presentation saved on a USB stick.

  • A computer will be provided. Please note that it will run on a Windows operating system.

  • In case your presentation contains a video or audio clip, please test beforehand if it’s functioning properly on the computer in your designated room.

  • Please arrive 15 minutes before your presentation to introduce yourself to the chairperson.

Please stay within the time slots

To avoid delays that affect the entire programme, we kindly ask you to respect the designated time slots.

The chair will keep an eye on the time allocated to each speaker. We respectfully ask you to discuss the overall structure with your chair in advance.
